Kapan Museum of Modern Art
On the initiative of Henrik Igityan, the Kapan branch of Yerevan Museum of Modern Art was established in 1990. In the museum you can see works of painters, sculptors, graphics and decorative applied arts.
Individual and group exhibitions of Kapan artists are organized in the museum. We can remember the "Autumn-2013" exhibition of 2013, during which a book was also published, the "I remember and demand" exhibition in April 2015, which was dedicated to the 100-year commemoration of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Students of the state art college and art schools often spend their student internship here. The museum plays an important role in the development of the culture of the region, spreading the culture and ideas of modern art.
